The Start of the League
Our Story
Home of the Justice Avenging League. Founded in 2016 as an 8-team league by Commissioner Joey C. and Deputy Commissioner Brandon M. We're big fans of superheroes and wanted to dedicate a Fantasy League to honor both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe thus the combination of each of the Comics' and films most prominent groups the Justice League and the Avengers, together they create The Justice Avenging League or the J.A.L.
Our ultimate prize is "The Jack Kirby Trophy" named after the artist who worked for both Marvel and DC during his career and contributed so much to comics and each of the Comic's most prominent groups.
"The Kirby" is won in the "Super 'Hero' Bowl" by the team who wins, depending on seeding, two or three rounds of playoffs in the winner's bracket.
Our league's last place trophy is "The ShitSipper" (not named after any comic legend or character) and is won or lost by losing three rounds in the consolation bracket and played for in the "Toilet Bowl".
Our league is split into two conferences Marvel and DC to honor the comics and movies we love.
In 2019, we expanded from an 8-team league to a 10-team league.
In 2020, we expanded from a 10-team league to a 12-league.
In 2021, we condensed back into a 10-team league.
In 2023, we once again expanded from a 10-team league to a 12-team league.
The league also recognizes Best and Worst Offense and Defenses and several other awards, named after characters in both universes, that are given at the end of the season.
